Disability Access Ramp

Scope of Work: Detail, Fabricate and install a new 3-tier access ramp, conforming to council access requirements

Key Elements:
Pre Assembly
Site installation and Cranage
Operational school during works
Antislip floor coating

DWW were contracted by Moggill Constructions to detail, manufacture and install a new multilevel access ramp for Nursery road Special State School. This ramp was to provide access from the upper classrooms to the play area for wheelchairs

The ramp was constructed and delivered to site in pre-assembled sections to reduce installation time on site due to the school being in operation. This also reduced craneage costs incurred for the installation

This project was the 1st time that DWW had used a ‘Composite Fibre Concrete’ (CFC) deck board on a walkway, which required anti-slip painting to council requirements for the 1/14 gradient. The finished product looked good on the ramps and will likely be used again.
